The promise - Ephesians 3:6

The promise - Ephesians 3:6

"That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel."

You may be asking yourself, who are the gentiles? That is me and you, anyone that is not Jewish, from the Israelite heritage. Christ did not only die for the Jews but He gave up His own life for us all, that "no soul would perish" (2 Peter 3:9). This is the most selfless act of love that mankind has experienced and ever will!

The question i always ask myself is would you lay down your life for another knowing that you are not at fault? Your answer may be yes, but even then it is only Jesus Christ that could atone for us, being blameless and spotless. His act was so that we could all find a means of intimacy with Him, that we will be found again in Him. Jesus wants us to be reunited and intimate with Him like He originally intended, by His grace through faith we are now saved.

Take some time today to thank God for His sacrifice and act of love.

Jesus we thank you for seeing us and for calling us back to yourself. Amen!
